EMERGENCY RESCUE: On August 7, 2016 a miracle happened, and beautiful baby Maribel was born weighing in at a healthy 6 pounds, 3 ounces, but both mom and baby still have a long road to recovery ahead of them. It was only a few months ago that Maribel’s mother, Alexis, laid in a pool of her own blood. She had survived another savage beating. Forced into sex trafficking, beaten and stripped of her freedom, paralyzed with fear, she endured beating after beating and was routinely raped by 25 or more men every single day.

Alexis and baby Maribel are now safe and living at our Unlikely Heroes restoration home, but we still have a lot of work to do to provide Alexis and baby Maribel the resources, medical care, education, support, job training and life skills so they can build a better life. We can’t do it alone!

Alexis and baby Maribel have an immediate need of $7,500 to pay for medical care, therapy, education, and baby needs (a new crib, formula, rash cream and diapers).
