Meet Our Outreach Coordinator

Lindsey Beasley is the Outreach Coordinator for Unlikely Heroes. Lindsey brings 10 years of crisis trauma experience to the team. Lindsey has worked first hand with trauma survivors both internationally and domestically for various non-profits. Lindsey has a degree in Finance with an emphasis on Microenterprise from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Lindsey is passionate about equipping underserved populations with the healing and life skills they need to live full and vibrant lives.

In 2007 through 2009, Lindsey had the privilege of teaching business classes and distributing small business loans through Microenterprise in the slums of Peru, Costa Rica, and Morocco through her university. Beginning in 2010, Lindsey worked for a nonprofit based in Lusaka, Zambia providing housing, schooling and sponsorship programs for over 10,000 orphaned and vulnerable children. In 2012, Lindsey transitioned to serving the greater Dallas area through a crisis hotline ministry. In 2014, Lindsey and her husband Luke became foster parents for Tarrant county. With the high needs of their special needs placements, it became clear that Lindsey needed to stay home to provide the medical and emotional care for each child the came into their home. Lindsey now resides in Bedford with her husband Luke and their two daughters Khloe and Collins. Lindsey is thrilled to be working with Unlikely Heroes as the Outreach Coordinator.
